Jeremy Pierce

Online Campus Pastor

In February 2013, Pastor Jeremy found himself subjected to a period of incarceration. It was through this experience that he truly felt the calling of God for his life. Other inmates looked to Pastor Jeremy for advice and wisdom because they realized that he stood out in that environment as a "man of God". During this two and half year period, Pastor Jeremy ministered to numerous men, sharing the Word of God with them and leading them to Christ. He also participated in the prison choir, served as a teacher in the prison GED program, and fulfilled the role of inmate trustee.

Upon release, Pastor Jeremy returned to Shreveport, where he answered the calling to serve within the ministry of Celebrate Recovery (CR) at Church at Red River (CARR). It was there that he spoke hope and life into many men who struggled with addictions, feelings of shame and failure, and many other life issues. Within this ministry is where Pastor Jeremy built relationships with numerous other leaders within the CR community, which led to the planting of another CR ministry at Westview Christian Church in Shreveport, LA. He played a pivotal role in the growth of this ministry, serving as the worship leader, media director, and small group leader. He also served as lead facilitator of two CR step-studies, guiding men through the four-part workbook series that directly guides men through individual healing journeys. Recently, Pastor Jeremy joined the CARR family, serving in various ministry efforts there. Among those are various community outreach projects and being a member of the in-house media team.

A new calling has fallen upon Pastor Jeremy. With his past experiences, God has uniquely equipped him to minister to a group that often gets overlooked in ministry. This group is those that are released from incarceration, especially those that are now registered citizens. Unfortunately, many of these individuals are seen today as the "modern-day lepers", and the shame and embarrassment that comes from their past becomes an obstacle that is often too much to overcome. Sadly, the families of these registered citizens are often forgotten about, but feel the negative effects of the registry as much as the one who actually has to register. It is in this place that Pastor Jeremy is dedicated to meeting these individuals and families. The message is that Christ died on the cross for all; His blood covers ALL sins, even when man may not want to agree with that idea.

This ministry may be the calling of Pastor Jeremy, but he is definitely not walking this journey alone. He is supported in his ministry by his wife, Jennifer, their 6 children, and 2 grandchildren. It does not take long to see that one of his great joys in life is that his family has a great desire to serve. Jennifer serves at CARR with the children's ministry while their own children, most of whom are now grown, have answered the call to serve in many various capacities. It is with this same heart that his ultimate desire can be seen -- to see people fully embrace God’s love and to walk in victory and power while experiencing the fullness of God’s promises.

Pastor Jeremy was born and raised in Shreveport, LA.  After graduating from Caddo Magnet High School, he enlisted into the United States Navy, serving 8 years.  During his military service, he completed a Bachelors Degree in Technical Management from Devry University. In 2011, he completed a Masters Degree in Educational Studies from the University of Phoenix.
